About Nadia and Company of Others

Working with people who have experience of being ‘othered’ by the society we live in, Company of Others co-creates dance and theatre experiences which highlight and share stories of the human experience through their lens. Through an informal conversation, Nadia and Kim will discuss what co-creation means for Company of Others, what it takes to do it well, the impact it can have and what it means to use co-creation as a process of reflection in challenging times.

Themes for this in-conversation will include: co-creation, transformation, communities, diversity, creativity, grief and the healing journey.

Nadia Iftkhar is a professional dance artist and founding Artistic Director & CEO of Company of Others a charity and dance theatre organisation which uses movement to create social change. Her artistic lines of inquiry intertwine nature, community, decolonisation, ritual, loss and movement.

Her work is centered around grassroots organising, co-creation and connecting people, with an international focus.

As well as being an artist and CEO, Nadia’s past roles include Marketing Manager, Creative Producer, Facilitator, Public Speaker and Panelist, and has been mentoring extensively since 2010.
