About Annette Rae

Annette Rae has worked for LGBT Health and Wellbeing since 2014. Her current role is Service Manager for National projects which covers the LGBT Helpline Scotland, LGBT Age Social Project (for 50+) and Telefriending. LGBT Health and Wellbeing is a community development organisation, meaning that our relatively small staff team (based in Edinburgh and Glasgow) along with a super team of volunteers, offers community members support and skills to build resilience and gain pride, while also connecting with peers. Our overall aim is to reduce the health inequalities experienced by LGBT people in Scotland. Annette is continually impressed and positively-challenged in her engagement with older LGBT community members, who have lived through much less tolerant times.
