Meet the East Renfrewshire Phase 2 artists: Nikki McGuigan and Jeremy Cunningham

Nikki McGuigan, also known as Little Book Transfers, is a Glasgow based artist who has been working on mural, illustration and public art projects since completing a BA Hons Degree in Visual Arts (2013).

Her work is largely inspired by nature and has often been described as humorous and whimsical with a surreal undertone. Many of the works are montage scenes made up of imagery and information, carefully and creatively pieced together to tell a story in a single work of art.

After his postgraduate studies at the Slade School of Art Jeremy had a series of commissions in Scotland and the north of England focusing on urban regeneration and woodlands and others for Edinburgh Council like the Meadows playground.

Jeremy has a long working relationship with Dundee Council where he has produced ten sculptures to date and with Sustrans where he was also artist in residence. A set of his designs for Sustrans will soon be installed around Canal St Station in Paisley.
