A postcard from Barbara & Sophie

Artists Barbara Gardner-Rowell and Sophie Ferguson sent us this lovely message whilst planning their community gatherings for Phase 2 in East Lothian.

Phase Two got underway in November and we have been very busy exploring all the varied landscapes that East Lothian has to offer and mapping out draft routes for walking trails. We are really grateful to all the helpful people in the community who are contributing their time and local knowledge to co-create our Remembering Together East Lothian project.

We have started planning community gatherings to record people’s individual experiences of lockdown for the archive. We’ve noticed in talking to people around the region, that there is a growing readiness to reflect and participate, which is very encouraging.

We are looking forward to capturing the remarkable stories that otherwise might be lost to future generations.
